Mobile Legends Patch 2.1.84: Buffs, Nerfs, and Battlefield Tweaks
The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Patch 2.1.84 update has landed on the Advanced Server, bringing a slew of hero adjustments and battlefield system enhancements. Notable buffs are given to heroes like Argus, Hirara, and Masha, along with various UI and control optimizations. This patch focuses primarily on improving hero playability while also tweaking battlefield dynamics, so let’s break it down. Starting with hero changes, Balmond, Eudora, and Hirara have all been given significant buffs. Argus, for instance, has had his ultimate ability adjusted to enhance practicality for seasoned players. The cooldown for this ability has been reduced from 60-50 seconds to a more manageable 42-35 seconds, although the auto-trigger duration for his Eternal Evil has been cut down from 4 seconds to 3 seconds. Balmond sees his Skill 2 benefit from a boost, increasing the total physical attack bonus from 20% to 25%. Meanwhile, Edith enjoys a slight uptick in mobility during mid to late game with a cooldown reduction on Skill 2 from a flat 10 seconds to a range of 10-8 seconds. Eudora’s adjustments aim to simplify the triggering of her lightning chains. Her passive now extends the Superconductor duration from 3 seconds to 5 seconds, and the cooldown on Skill 1 has been halved based on delayed damage. Hirara gets a notable buff as well, with her passive damage to minions increasing from (30 + 3* Hero Level)% to (30 + 4* Hero Level)%. Skill 1’s cooldown has been reduced from 8.5 seconds to 7.8 seconds at lower levels, and her Skill 2 damage has been slightly enhanced. Masha's adjustments are experimental, focusing on making it easier for her to enter her Feral state. The Wound effect has been enlarged, and breaking it now triggers the Feral state for 3 seconds, converting her next three basic attacks into large-area claw strikes. Her Skill 2 has a new effect that resets its cooldown each time an HP bar is depleted, with damage increased from a range of 120-240 to 240-440. Odette and Ruby also see adjustments, with Odette's Ultimate now preventing accidental interruptions when immobilized, and Ruby reverting some damage back to her Spell Vamp. Zhuxin, on the other hand, faces a nerf due to her overwhelming power in competitive play, with her Skill 2's mana cost jumping from 45 to 75. On the battlefield front, equipment adjustments are in play. Berserker’s Fury sees a rework, maintaining its damage to back-row heroes while decreasing damage to front-row heroes. The Great Dragon Spear equipment returns to its official server version while keeping its unique mechanics. New battlefield effects have been introduced, including pickable wisps that reveal hidden enemies and a rebranded Healing Turtle that no longer grants shields but spawns a Turtle to aid allies. Control UI optimizations are also included, allowing custom settings to take immediate effect during matches. Additionally, the Mythical Honor battlefield is being fine-tuned to promote hero diversity in high-rank matches without impacting lower ranks. Vision optimizations have been implemented to improve clarity when entering and exiting bushes, ensuring a more consistent gameplay experience. The developers have also added new features such as a Main Hero Namecard for showcasing stats and enhancements to the public chat channel. Overall, this patch aims to refine various aspects of gameplay and hero balance, with numerous adjustments to keep things fresh on the battlefield.
