G2 Teams Up with PUBG Mobile Esports to Enhance Western European Competition

G2 has entered a partnership with PUBG Mobile Esports aimed at developing the competitive landscape in Western Europe. This collaboration will leverage G2's esports expertise alongside PUBG Mobile's established global infrastructure, focusing on player and community growth through tournaments and various initiatives. G2's media division, 62, will play a crucial role in this effort, managing tournament operations and community activations.

The inaugural event under this partnership will be the 2026 PUBG Mobile Global Open Western Europe Finals, set to take place from September 11th to 13th, with registrations currently open. In addition, an ambassador program will be launched, featuring German content creator JanickaGaming, who will produce content and stream PUBG Mobile weekly, while also covering esports tournaments and related news.

G2 CEO Alban Dechelotte expressed enthusiasm for this opportunity, highlighting the significant growth potential for mobile esports in Western Europe, particularly given the success seen in Asia. He noted that the market has not yet reached its full potential and emphasized the large audience eager for competitive gaming experiences.

Why it matters

Shaowei Chen, head of Western Europe publishing for PUBG Mobile, echoed this sentiment, stating that G2 is an ideal strategic partner to foster growth in the region. With a decade of experience in building fan communities through tournaments and creative campaigns, G2 is well-positioned to align with PUBG Mobile's development goals.
