Supernatural RPG Neverness to Everness is on track to reach $50 million in mobile player spending, having generated $42.1 million within two months of its release. Launched in China on April 23, 2026, and globally shortly thereafter, the game has seen Japan emerge as the most lucrative market, contributing $18.3 million, or 44% of total earnings. China follows with $11.5 million, accounting for 27% of spending, while also leading in installs due to its earlier launch. During its initial exclusivity in China, Neverness to Everness achieved $449,000 on launch day, peaking at $685,000 on the second day. Following the global rollout on April 29, daily spending saw a significant boost, reaching $730,000. May 7 marked the first day the game surpassed $1 million in daily spending, and it hit a new record of $2 million on June 3, coinciding with the version 1.1 update. This update introduced two new gacha characters, Lacrimosa and Chaos, along with the new area Sunward Island and additional storyline content. A series of limited-time events, including underground racing, a baking event, and a collaboration with Porsche, have contributed to maintaining player interest and spending. Notably, following the version 1.1 update, the game recorded over $1 million in revenue for five consecutive days. Despite a strong performance in its second month, total revenue for that period was $19.2 million, a 16% decrease from the $22.9 million earned in the first month. Since its launch, Neverness to Everness has provided players with diverse content, from exploring the city of Hethereau to engaging in battles with colorful characters, all while being cheered on by an otter. The details for the upcoming version 1.2 update are expected to be revealed on June 27th.

Hill Climb Racing 3 Soft Launch Expands to Germany

Fingersoft has officially expanded the soft launch of Hill Climb Racing 3 to Germany, now available for download on Google Play. This latest title in the racing franchise emphasizes real-time multiplayer racing with interactive gameplay during races. The decision to include Germany as the next soft launch market is aimed at gathering valuable player feedback. The expansion follows positive results from the initial soft launch in select countries, where the game demonstrated encouraging engagement and retention metrics. Hill Climb Racing 3 allows players to compete against each other while using in-race actions to influence their opponents, all within quick play sessions designed for both immediate fun and long-term progression. The game features fast-paced driving, player-versus-player gadgets, stunts, and the series' signature humor. Fingersoft producer Daniel Fischer noted that insights from German players will be crucial for future updates and refinements. He remarked, "We’ve seen promising early results from our first soft launch markets, both in terms of engagement and retention. Expanding to a bigger market such as Germany is an important step for us. This is a discerning, mobile-savvy audience, and their feedback will play a key role in shaping the next version of Hill Climb Racing." Honkai: Nexus Anima Enters Closed Beta Next Month

Hoyoverse has announced that its upcoming title, Honkai: Nexus Anima, will enter closed beta testing on July 9, available on iOS, Android, and PC. This creature-collecting adventure allows players to team up and battle alongside companions known as Anima, reminiscent of the Pokémon formula. The July beta marks the second player testing phase for Nexus Anima, following the limited early 'Nexus Bond Test' that took place in August and September of 2025. Despite the anticipation, Hoyoverse has yet to reveal a global launch window for the game, which will be the third installment in the Honkai series, following Honkai Impact 3rd and Honkai Star Rail. While Hoyoverse has excelled in the open-world adventure category on mobile, the similarities among its games have raised concerns about player cannibalization. In September 2023, it was reported that Honkai: Star Rail achieved remarkable success, generating $1 billion in in-app purchases within five months of its global release. However, the promotion of Star Rail to Genshin Impact players inadvertently shifted high-spending users to a title that monetizes less effectively, resulting in a net decline across Hoyoverse's game portfolio. Looking ahead, Hoyoverse's next project, Zenless Zone Zero, also poses similar risks. According to Appmagic data, Hoyoverse has amassed nearly $8 billion in lifetime in-app purchase earnings across its top four games, but the titles launched after Genshin Impact have not led to overall revenue growth. Genshin Impact remains the leader with an estimated $4.8 billion since its launch in September 2020, while Honkai: Star Rail has earned approximately $1.8 billion since its debut in April 2023. Honkai Impact 3rd, which launched in September 2016, has made around $884 million to date, and Zenless Zone Zero has garnered about $420 million since its June 2024 launch. Additionally, Hoyoverse is developing Petit Planet, an Animal Crossing-like game, which has undergone various soft launches and testing phases recently.

AppsFlyer Secures Over $1 Billion Investment from Major Tech Players

AppsFlyer has successfully secured over $1 billion in funding from investors including Moloco, Google, Meta, and Unity. This financing round values the ad measurement platform at $2.7 billion. The company plans to utilize these funds to enhance its AI-powered ad measurement capabilities and cross-platform attribution services, while also developing support for autonomous marketing and agentic workflows. Each investment represents a minority, non-controlling interest, ensuring that these major tech companies will not receive preferential treatment regarding AppsFlyer's APIs, measurement signals, or attribution logic. AppsFlyer has emphasized that despite this backing, its investors will continue to collaborate with their current measurement providers as well. CEO and co-founder Oren Kaniel highlighted the importance of maintaining independence and neutrality in measurement, citing that this deal is inspired by successful technological evolutions that allow companies to compete while relying on trusted neutral infrastructure. Kaniel stated, "As AI takes over more of how advertising is bought and optimized, the entire digital advertisement industry benefits from signals that are independent, neutral and not shaped by any one interested market participant. This investment is a commitment to that principle." Unity's chief AI officer and senior VP of product and technology also commented on the significance of neutral measurement, stating, "Positioned at the intersection of developers, advertisers, and players, we see first-hand how much trust depends on neutral, independent measurement. AppsFlyer is a trusted partner across the evolving digital advertising ecosystem, and we’re proud to support infrastructure that strengthens transparency and trust across the industry."

Fortnite Hits Over 1 Million Daily App Store Installs Post-Return

For the first time, Fortnite has surpassed one million daily downloads on the App Store, achieving a peak of over 1.2 million installs on May 30th, 2026. This milestone follows Fortnite's global return to Apple's platform on May 19th, 2026, after a prolonged legal battle. Within its first month back, the game amassed an impressive 11.5 million downloads. The surge in downloads during the initial weeks was significant. Fortnite's first week back was its fourth-best ever on the App Store, achieving download levels not seen since 2018. The second week saw even greater demand, with nearly 5 million installs recorded between May 26th and June 1st. Following that, the game garnered 2.5 million installs in the third week and 1.1 million in the fourth. Previously, Fortnite's daily downloads had peaked at 764,000 shortly after its initial release on March 18th, 2018, and had not exceeded 750,000 since then. The recent comeback has been particularly driven by players in Saudi Arabia, which accounted for nearly 2.9 million of the total installs, representing 25% of the global downloads. Mexico followed with almost 2.3 million installs, while the UK contributed 733,000 downloads. Interestingly, the US ranked fourth at 629,000 downloads, despite regaining access to the game in 2025. In terms of revenue, Fortnite generated an estimated $3.9 million in its first month back on the App Store. The US led spending, contributing $2.6 million, followed by Japan at $198,000 and Mexico at $179,000. Player spending peaked at $208,000 on June 12th, reflecting a rise from $79,000 on its release day. This peak in spending coincided with the addition of new items to the in-game shop, including characters Pomni and Jax from The Amazing Digital Circus web series. Earlier this year, Fortnite also collaborated with HoYoverse's Honkai: Star Rail, further expanding its reach.
