World of Warcraft: Forever launches November 5, 2026

Forever expands and reworks the original world: existing zones will be expanded or rebuilt, and Blizzard will add new regions, dungeons, and raids. The reveal trailer shows Dalaran rebuilt earlier than in Wrath of the Lich King, hinting at story shifts inside the familiar map. Over 1,000 new quests are part of the package, so the rebooted Azeroth brings a large dose of fresh content on top of the original backbone.

Gameplay systems and class options get wide changes as well. All specializations receive gameplay updates, while honor and professions are being overhauled and a new camping system is introduced. New race-class combinations will be playable — the examples given include Dwarf Shamans and Forsaken Paladins — and Blizzard also added an entirely new playable neutral race called the Skyborn, an elf people from the newly discovered Zephras Isle, exclusive to Forever.

Visuals and quality-of-life adjustments are listed alongside the bigger changes: global VFX updates, general gameplay improvements, and a broad set of activities from PvP to fishing remain supported. Blizzard says the game will evolve through ongoing updates and that players can progress at their preferred speed. Pre-purchases are open on Battle.net ahead of the November 5, 2026 launch.
