Game of Thrones: Kingsroad launches first season 'Frost and Steel' July 15

The initial season focuses on the three Northern houses: Umber, Hornwood, and Manderly, vying to select their champions amid the invasion of Steel Isle. Players can choose one of these houses as their champion, and house selection is account-based. Once players complete the Winterfell main quest, they can view their house status and weekly rankings in the season lobby.

Ranking in Season 1 will compete among champions within the same house rather than across all players. Players can earn points by achieving high scores in five types of dungeons, including seasonal dungeons, or by redeeming seasonal tokens known as 'Coastal Watchman's Iron Shard.' Weekly rankings will assign personal ranks from 'Lead Champion' to 'Apprentice Champion,' with rewards including house-specific costumes, mounts, and permanent Hall of Fame listings.

Additionally, the season will introduce a new battle mechanism called 'Fierce Momentum,' allowing players to gather 'Momentum' and 'Adrenaline' through successful attacks, which can be released for powerful special skills and health recovery effects. This feature will apply to specific content like 'Beyond the Wall Expedition' and 'Seasonal Worm's Path.' On July 22, a new content, 'Northern Champion Duel Festival,' will start, allowing players to duel NPCs from other houses. The event will be a three-round time attack format, rewarding players with growth rewards and seasonal tokens.
