Rust Mobile Open Beta Launches in Hong Kong and Macao on July 9, 2026

Level Infinite has confirmed that Rust Mobile will enter a regional open beta on July 9, 2026, for players in Hong Kong and Macao. This beta will not require any invitation codes or activation keys for participation, allowing players to jump straight into the action. However, it's important to note that all progress and player data will be wiped once the beta concludes.

Rust Mobile, the mobile adaptation of the popular PC title officially licensed by Facepunch Studios, was previously known as Codename Outpost. The game has undergone multiple testing phases, including an Alpha Test in Canada in 2025 and a Closed Beta Test in China, along with several delays aimed at enhancing stability.

In this mobile version, players will start with nothing and must gather resources, construct shelters, and craft weapons while navigating a dangerous island filled with wildlife and other players. The gameplay includes hunting predators and engaging in PvP encounters, offering a mix of raiding and survival management.

Why it matters

The open beta will commence at 10 AM (UTC+8), and players can download the game via the Google Play Store, TapTap, or the official website. Those interested in the game can find more information on social media and Discord channels, though they should remember that their in-game progress will not carry over after the beta ends.
