Sony has announced that it will not release any new major IP titles in the near future. This statement came during the PlayStation division's earnings report held on the 14th, which included the PS5 shipment numbers for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2024, covering the period from October 1 to December 31, 2023. The PS5 saw a shipment increase of approximately 8.2 million units, a 15% rise year-over-year, while the only new title for the third quarter, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, achieved around 10 million sales.
In addition, Tekken 8 has implemented its first balance patch since launch, effective from February 7. This patch addresses several bugs and character balance adjustments, including an increase in guard back for Dragunov’s move and a decrease in guard damage, as well as reduced reach and damage for Devil Jin’s attacks.
The life simulation game Paralives, developed by Alex Massé, has released new gameplay footage. This title has been recognized as a competitor to The Sims series since its initial announcement in 2019, particularly for its superior building freedom and detailed customization options.
Why it matters
On February 6, King Kong Soft officially launched its new mobile idle RPG, High Ranker.
