MOUSE: P.I. for Hire Hits 730K Sales Milestone
Fumi Games and PlaySide Publishing are popping the confetti as their noir cartoon FPS, MOUSE: P.I. for Hire, has officially sold over 730,000 units since its launch. In their latest investor update, the duo revealed that console sales now make up about 50% of total sales, thanks to some shining visibility on console storefronts. The estimated gross platform sales have reached an impressive $21.4 million, with reported net revenue to PlaySide before royalties sitting at around $13 million.
But wait, there’s more! The wishlist count has skyrocketed to three million across all platforms, up from 2.08 million in the last update and 1.73 million at launch. Clearly, players have their eyes on this title! PlaySide has also noted that they've fully recouped the publishing and marketing costs tied to the game's launch, which means that future sales will now flow more directly into their coffers.
PlaySide CEO Benn Skender expressed his delight, stating, "The continued performance of MOUSE: P.I. For Hire has been really pleasing and reflects the strength of the IP, the quality and persistence of effort from all teams, and the depth of player and social engagement we are seeing across every platform." He added that the upgrade to FY26 revenue guidance is a testament to the title’s launch trajectory and the confidence in its ongoing commercial success.
