Webzen's LAST STAGE teaser debuts Oct 26, 2026

Key takeaways

  • Webzen released the official teaser on YouTube on October 26, 2026
  • Webzen Crevix targets a 2027 release for LAST STAGE
  • Playable demo scheduled at G-STAR 2026 B2C on November 19, 2026

Webzen opened an official YouTube channel and published the first teaser for its new title, <Defense Game Tyrant: LAST STAGE>, on October 26, 2026. The studio says the project is being developed by its subsidiary Webzen Crevix with a targeted 2027 release and that the game adapts the Naver Webtoon IP 'Defense Game Tyrant'.

The 1 minute 40 second teaser sequences the comic’s in-world game completing and the protagonist becoming possessed by that game, then cuts to key characters rendered in what Webzen calls 'diorama pixel art.' Webzen also confirmed the game is built on Unreal Engine 5 and uses 3D graphics to give the original atmosphere depth while finishing characters pixel-by-pixel for a handcrafted look. The source material’s exploration–defense–domain management arc has been reworked into a party-composition, tactics-first system where role placement (tanker, dealer, etc.) and direct command combine.

Webzen plans to exhibit <Defense Game Tyrant: LAST STAGE> at G-STAR 2026 — the title will be playable in the B2C zone on November 19. The company has opened an official X (formerly Twitter) account and will route G-STAR schedules and event news through its social channels. To mark the channel launch, Webzen will run a special event on October 27: follow the channel and quote a post for a chance to win G-STAR 2026 tickets by lottery.

Why it matters

If you want an early look, the concrete dates to remember are October 27 for the channel giveaway and November 19 for the G-STAR demo — both announced on Webzen’s official YouTube and SNS outlets.
