Minecraft Blast returns to soft launch in Malaysia on Google Play
Key takeaways
- Downloadable in Malaysia on Google Play only (at time of writing)
- Features six new blockers and four new chapters
- Previously soft launched Nov 2025 in Malaysia and Canada on iOS only
Minecraft Blast has returned to soft launch, and at the time of writing the refreshed build is downloadable in Malaysia on Google Play only. King’s store page for the Minecraft spin-off now carries new assets and a trailer that accompany an updated store blurb.
The store listing lists six new blockers, four new chapters, daily play rewards, a new Raid Tournament, a weekly leaderboard contest and a customisable companion system. The new trailer and screenshots show Candy Crush–style map progression alongside a building-focused meta where blasting matches funds construction and decoration. The listing’s marketing line reads: “Your next Minecraft Blast puzzle adventure starts now! More worlds to explore. More puzzles to blast. More ways to play.”
MobileGamer.biz notes this isn’t the first soft launch: Minecraft Blast quietly tested in November 2025 in Malaysia and Canada on iOS only, and AppMagic data suggests the game was removed from testing about a month later. The current store entry shows noticeably updated graphics compared with that first edition. A Malay-translated blurb on the page calls it “a delightful block-puzzle adventure from the world of Minecraft,” adds that players can “Design, decorate and expand,” and mentions meeting Chickens, Zombies and Creepers while building villages, caves and pirate ships.
Why it matters
If you’re in Malaysia and on Android, the Play Store entry is the only place to download the refreshed build right now — so testers who want the new chapters, blockers and the Buddy companion features can try this Android soft-launch version today.
