Etheria: Restart adds Guilty Gear Strive crossover for Season SS7

Etheria: Restart adds Guilty Gear Strive crossover for Season SS7

Key takeaways

  • Guilty Gear Strive crossover announced for Etheria: Restart Season SS7
  • SS6.4: Eidolon Scourge runs Nov 4–Dec 2, 2026 worldwide
  • Thalos introduced as a defense support Animus with self-revive and control resistance
  • Etheria: Restart available on PC, iOS, and Android

Etheria: Restart has announced a crossover with Guilty Gear Strive that will bring three playable characters into Season SS7, and XD Games says more details about the event and SS7 will arrive later. The announcement names the collaboration and the season but does not list the crossover characters by name yet; the trio will join a new faction inside the game.

The live build has already received an interim update: SS6.4: Eidolon Scourge, which launched worldwide and runs from November 4 through December 2, 2026 as an extended finish to the SS6 Pyrite Nyx anniversary season. SS6.4 introduces Thalos, vice-captain of the Elysian faction’s Third Manhunter Corps. Thalos is a defense-focused support Animus who can absorb damage for teammates, apply damage-over-time effects such as Infernal Flame, resist control effects, and self-revive on a later turn restoring a percentage of his max HP.

Gameplay systems are getting tweaks alongside the new character. The Summit Arena PvP will add an affinity-restricted draft format where players pick an affinity combination at match start and may only use characters that match those restrictions; during the Summit Arena Special Season victories award increased points and players below Platinum no longer lose points on defeat. Additional features in SS6.4 include a limited-time Prowess Up event that rewards players who fully develop Thalos, an automatically matched arena event, a new banner event, and the Seneschal Chaku automated assistant for faster daily reward collection and shop purchases.

Why it matters

If you’re chasing Summit Arena points or want a durable support for longer fights, SS6.4 hands you two concrete tools: the Prowess Up route for Thalos and a Special Season that raises victory points while protecting ranks below Platinum.
