Captain Tsubasa: My Golden XI Now Open for Pre-registration in Japan

Captain Tsubasa: My Golden XI has officially launched pre-registration in Japan for both Android and iOS devices. Developed by ALPSE, INC, this new mobile game draws inspiration from the renowned manga series created by Yoichi Takahashi. The game showcases portrait-oriented football gameplay, indicating a fresh approach to the genre.

Players can expect to train their favorite characters, build customized squads, and utilize iconic moves from the anime, including Tsubasa’s Drive Shot and Hyuga’s Tiger Shot. The focus on player training and squad formation underlines the game's team-building mechanics.

Currently, the iOS App Store suggests a tentative launch date of June 30, 2026, although this has yet to be confirmed by the developers. Pre-registration is exclusive to Japan, with players able to sign up on the Google Play Store and App Store. A pre-registration campaign is also in place, offering rewards such as exclusive gacha tickets, Victory Balls, and Roberto Notebooks.

Why it matters

The Captain Tsubasa franchise has a history of successful global mobile releases, including titles like Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team, Captain Tsubasa: Ace, and Captain Tsubasa RIVALS, alongside notable collaborations with games like KONAMI’s eFootball. With this new entry, a worldwide release is likely to follow after the initial launch in Japan.
