Super Shark Launches RPG-Cobo for 3D RPG Development Without Coding

Super Shark has unveiled RPG-Cobo, a new tool designed for creating 3D role-playing games without any coding knowledge. Announced on October 5, the company has already initiated beta testing for this intuitive platform that aims to democratize game development. RPG-Cobo packages all the essential tools for RPG creation in one solution, featuring modern graphics capabilities such as PBR rendering, global illumination, and post-effects. This enables developers to create intricate and immersive worlds that were previously challenging to achieve with standard RPG development tools. The user interface is tailored for beginners, enhancing accessibility while allowing experienced developers to work more efficiently. A standout feature is the event editor, which enables users to construct game mechanics and narratives simply by arranging commands; even complex instructions can be easily modified through an intuitive settings panel. The map editor provides access to over hundreds of voxel materials, allowing users to assemble maps like building blocks, while also supporting the creation of HD-2D style maps popularized in recent games. Terrain and building blocks are designed to seamlessly integrate with the surrounding environment, and the tool includes various blocks with special functions, such as doors and ladders. RPG-Cobo also boasts extensive features for resource management, enabling users to modify voxel-based characters and map objects, create effects, and manage in-game characters, items, and rules through a visual database. An AI-powered multilingual translation feature further enhances the usability of the tool. Once completed, games can be exported to multiple platforms including Windows, web browsers (WebGL), iOS, and Android. The free 'Free License' supports only WebGL output, while the paid 'Indie License' adds support for Windows output. The top-tier 'Pro License' includes mobile output functions and additional features for Steam. Pricing details for the paid licenses will be announced later. RPG-Cobo is spearheaded by Yutaka Oowada, a founding member of CyberStep, who previously led the development of titles like GetAmped, Guichamp, and Terrabit. After leaving CyberStep in 2024, he has dedicated his expertise to developing RPG-Cobo, aiming to establish it as the premier tool for creating a globally recognized RPG experience. The ongoing beta test, which began on October 5, is open to all participants through the official special site, with feedback and improvement requests being collected via the official Discord server. Additionally, a contest offering prizes and benefits for beta testers is planned for the future.

The latest version of Among Us is available for Android and iOS at a price of $2.99. Players are praising the game for its entertaining multiplayer experience, which is particularly enjoyable during fast-paced rounds that promote social deduction. This aspect makes it ideal for streaming and group voice chats. The minimalist design and appealing cosmetics, combined with various maps and optional roles, contribute to keeping gameplay engaging and encouraging creative strategies among players. However, the experience is marred by unreliable servers, issues with hackers, and disruptive players who vote without evidence, pointing to a need for significant improvements in online stability and moderation. As Pride Month approaches, the community is also buzzing with excitement, with plans for a video featuring player-submitted concepts for new items and themes. Original source ↗

Queen Digital Entertainment, Founded by Ex-King Execs, Has Closed

Queen Digital Entertainment, the puzzle game studio established by former King executives Sebastian Knutsson and Stephane Kurgan, has reportedly shut down, as indicated by multiple LinkedIn posts from affected employees. The studio, which aimed to be a successor to Candy Crush's creator, was founded with significant backing, reportedly raising €16.5 million (approximately $18.9 million) in 2024, with additional funding of 340 million SEK (about $35.5 million) reported in September 2025 from American venture capital firm Accel and British firm Index Ventures. During its operation, Queen Digital Entertainment was actively working on several mobile puzzle games that followed the King model, with Appmagic data indicating that four titles were in various stages of beta testing. These titles included Pet Panic, Tail Team, Block Hero, and Wild Joker Poker, with specific release dates ranging from September 2024 to May 2026. Of these, Tail Team and Pet Panic attracted notable player bases, achieving approximately 60,000 and 830,000 installs, respectively, primarily in soft launch markets such as India, Malaysia, and the UK. Currently, Tail Team is the only title still available on iOS. Knutsson co-founded King and dedicated nearly 20 years to the company, departing in 2022 to explore investment ventures. Kurgan served as COO and director for eight years, playing key roles during critical company milestones, including the $7 billion IPO in 2014 and the $5.9 billion acquisition by Activision in 2016. The studio, which had expanded to approximately 25 employees over its three years of operation, now appears to be closed, as reinforced by the LinkedIn updates from its former staff. Attempts to reach Knutsson and Kurgan for comments regarding the closure have been made, and updates will follow if a response is received.

Rewards earned during the demo can be redeemed in the full versions of either Granblue Fantasy: Relink or Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok.
