New Soft Launch Games from Leading Mobile Developers

Several prominent mobile game developers are currently testing new titles across various regions. This list, organized by publisher, showcases games from companies like EA, Playrix, Century Games, and more. All details may change as these games move through the soft launch phase.

Bit Odd has released its debut title, Bit Odd Field Day, a blend of MOBA and extraction shooter, currently in early access in Canada, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines, with plans for expansion to additional regions. Blizzard is developing Overwatch Rush, a mobile-exclusive hero shooter set in the Overwatch universe, with early reports suggesting over 10,000 downloads for the iOS version in the Philippines despite the game being in early development.

Century Games has launched Just Desserts, a merge narrative game, on Android in Australia, Canada, the Philippines, and the UK. Another title from Century, Family Farm Merge, combines merge mechanics with a farming theme and is in early testing, gaining traction in the UK, France, Canada, and Germany.

EA's Plants vs. Zombies 3: Evolved has soft launched in the Philippines, UK, Malaysia, and Singapore, with a broader rollout expected soon. Fingersoft introduces Hill Climb Racing 3, which features real-time multiplayer for the first time, now available on Google Play in the UK, Norway, Sweden, and Finland.

Garena is testing Garena Free City, a game reminiscent of GTA, which initially soft launched on Android in Argentina and is now seeing downloads in the Philippines, Algeria, and Egypt. Hoyoverse has opened pre-registration for Petit Planet, a cozy life simulation game, following several beta tests without a confirmed release date.

King has soft launched Minecraft Blast in Malaysia and Canada on iOS, although it has since been removed from availability, with an FAQ stating that the project is still in the early stages. Meanwhile, Level Infinite and Tencent’s Monster Hunter Outlanders is in beta testing, with a global release expected this year.

Pool City – 8 Ball is currently in soft launch on Google Play in several countries including Australia and Canada, with the iOS version available in Indonesia and the Philippines. Limit Break's Puzzle Panic, a 3D arcade puzzle game from former Machine Zone CEO Gabe Leydon, is in limited testing on iOS in Singapore, New Zealand, and Australia.

Miniclip is testing Hoverboard Party, a Subway Surfers-themed minigame collection, in the UK, Italy, and Portugal on both Android and iOS. Their Derby studio is also working on Pure Crime: Gangster Shooting, now in testing on iOS and Android in the UK and Philippines. Paint Brawl, a Splatoon-like shooter featuring characters from Subway Surfers, is seeing downloads in the UK and Philippines.

Rival Nations is a multiplayer war game that has soft launched on Android in Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, and France. Family Bay, a follow-up to Family Island, is gearing up for soft launch in India, Kazakhstan, and Poland. Other games such as Hole Stars: Puzzle Game and Jelly Busters are also in soft launch, with Jelly Busters gaining traction in multiple regions including Germany and the US.

Reality Bay is a merge 2 game set on a film set, currently available on Google Play in India, Brazil, and the UK. Yarn It, similar to Jelly Busters, is available only in Israel on Google Play. Playrix's Aqua Match, a twist on its match 3 games, is now live in 12 markets on iOS and Android. Austin’s Odyssey, another ‘scapes game, is out on Google Play in Australia, Canada, India, and the US. FamilyScapes, focusing on family drama, is in soft launch in several countries on Android.

Match Around combines match 3 and merge 2 mechanics and is generating downloads in India and Indonesia, while Questbound, a squad battler, is available in Australia, Canada, India, Indonesia, and the US. Roomscapes, exclusively on Google Play, is also seeing downloads in various regions.

Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble, a multiplayer platformer arena shooter, has launched in France and several other European countries. Rovio is exploring match 3 games with Angry Birds Match World, currently available on iOS in the Philippines, UK, Australia, Canada, and Finland. Angry Birds Rush is in early testing on iOS and Android in the US, while Bloom City Match has launched in multiple regions.

Why it matters

Lastly, Sonic Blitz, a character-collecting battler, is available in Brazil and the Philippines, and Supercell is preparing to launch Boat Game, a looter-shooter, across 29 markets, including Europe and North America.
