- Players build eight-card decks around a chosen champion
Clash Royale: The Grand Arena, a tabletop adaptation of Supercell’s mobile hit, will launch on Kickstarter on October 20, 2026. Developed with Maestro Media and designed by David Gordon, Ryan Rodriguez, and TAM, the board game brings the mobile title’s card play, Elixir management and tower battles to a physical table for two to four players.
Players build eight-card decks around a chosen champion, whose evolution card stays with them through the match. Matches play across two lanes: deploy cards, attack opponents, and send towers into enemy lanes. Victory is decided by crowns collected from destroyed towers; the player with the most crowns at the end wins. Players may upgrade or add characters to their decks between battles, carrying progress across rounds.
Andrea Fasulo, head of licensing at Supercell, said, “Clash Royale has earned its place as a leading mobile strategy game by challenging players to think tactically, adapt, and outsmart their opponents. With The Grand Arena, our ambition is to honour that competitive spirit and strategic depth.” Maestro Media founder and CEO Javon Frazier described the project as another way for the Clash Royale community to engage with the franchise. Maestro Media previously produced Clan of Clans: The Epic Raid, and Supercell’s broader IP activity includes a Clash of Clans animated Netflix project called CLASH, currently in pre-production.
Why it matters
If you like the mobile game’s card-driven duels, The Grand Arena gives those systems a table-ready translation: champions, evolving cards, Elixir-style resource play, and 2–4 player matches all survive the move from screen to cardboard, arriving via Kickstarter on October 20, 2026.
