Stillfront CEO Alexis Bonte Announces Departure

Alexis Bonte will leave his position as CEO of Stillfront Group, a role he officially took on permanently in March 2025. He will continue to serve as CEO until a successor is appointed. Bonte’s departure comes just over a year after his permanent appointment, during which he has overseen significant changes within the company. Stillfront, known for its portfolio that includes Goodgame Studios, Jawaker, and Babil Games, has initiated a process to find a new chief executive. Bonte joined Stillfront in 2017 and became interim CEO in October 2024 after the exit of Jörgen Larsson, the previous CEO. Under Bonte’s leadership, the company has undergone a major restructuring, dividing its operations into three business divisions: Europe, North America, and MENA/APAC. However, Stillfront reported a 14% decline in net revenue for Q1, totaling SEK 1.3 billion (approximately $143.9 million), alongside decreases in daily and monthly active users. Lars-Johan Jarnheimer, chair of the board, expressed gratitude for Bonte's contributions during his nearly ten-year tenure, noting his leadership during a challenging period and the strategic changes implemented under his guidance. Bonte reflected on his time at Stillfront, emphasizing the progress made and the importance of the transition ahead.
