Saga Unveils AI Influencer Character for Diamond Jewels
Saga has launched its first influencer-style AI character, Crystal Beaumont, for the match-3 mobile game Diamond Jewels developed by GFAL. This character not only exists within the game but also has a presence on external social media platforms. Crystal is already active on Instagram and is expected to join TikTok and Facebook soon. According to Saga, this initiative represents a significant shift in how game developers can approach user acquisition and audience engagement. Rather than relying on traditional advertising methods, the company asserts that its platform allows for direct synthetic interactions between characters and users. Crystal is designed to engage players without interrupting their feeds with advertisements; instead, users can choose to follow and interact with her content over time.
In addition to this development, Saga has expanded its AI agent technology into competitive gaming through a partnership with Bonoxs, a payment processor in Latin America. This collaboration introduces an AI-powered version of Tío the Bonoxs Wizard into the Bonoxs Arena tournament platform, which caters to 100,000 monthly users across titles such as Valorant and Garena Free Fire. Tío will serve as a community manager on Discord, assisting players during live tournaments. Rebecca Liao, co-founder and CEO of Saga, commented on the evolution of AI agents from simple interfaces to active participants in digital communities. She highlighted that the collaboration with Bonoxs illustrates how these agents can facilitate real-time interaction at scale, becoming integral to the daily operations of online gaming communities.
