Reincarnation Insurance Program 1.0 launches on the 16th with melee agent Ling

Key takeaways

  • 1.0 launched on the 16th (developer WarmCore, publisher 2P Games)
  • New melee agent Ling added with skill ‘Dimensional Slash’
  • Update adds 34 mythic items, 100s of weapons, 50+ affixes
  • Planned 30% launch discount will be applied after a fix

WarmCore and publisher 2P Games released the 1.0 full version of the 3D top-down roguelite Reincarnation Insurance Program on the 16th, and the update adds a new melee specialist named Ling. Players can scavenge mythic gear across high-infection zones such as swamps, deserts and frozen wastes, then build and test bespoke loadouts in the shipped content.

Ling joins the existing roster as the first dedicated melee agent. She wields a blade that can send enemy bullets back along their trajectory, leaves an afterimage slash during high-speed dodges, and generates innate sword auras; her charged skill “Dimensional Slash” turns nearby corpses into a burst of blood mist. The game’s existing five main agents keep their distinct roles intact, from pinpoint spear sniping to wide-area grenade denial and team-clearing piercing arrows.

Version 1.0 introduces a new map called “City of Flames” (浴火之都) where players face the final boss aimed at eradicating the infection. A new Endless Mode lets you mix six tech branches while monster waves and drop rates scale exponentially over time, and global rankings record those runs. There’s also a 5-minute Hunt Mode for rapid boss farming to grab mythic gear, a Void Spire mode for permanently breaking skill level caps, and new arcade minigames back at base for cooldown respite.

The release brings 34 mythic items with unique combat skills, hundreds of regular weapons and more than 50 random affixes, plus a “Set Contract” system that converts loose pieces into powerful set bonuses. WarmCore says an intended 30% launch discount experienced an anomaly; the team apologized and will apply the 30% discount once the issue is fixed.

Why it matters

Takeaway: if you want quick, gear-driven progression aim for Hunt Mode to farm mythic drops, or push Endless Mode to climb the global boards once the 30% launch discount is restored.
