Warframe and Soulframe unveil Seoul updates — Iceblade of Narin on Sept 24

Iceblade of Narin introduces Warframe’s 66th frame, Narin, an ice-oriented female Warframe whose kit centers on freezing and punishing enemies. Narin can freeze foes, boost critical damage against chilled targets, and take to the air with crane-like wings to charge forward for wide-area cold damage or to make enemies more vulnerable to cold. When abilities are fully stacked, Narin slides across ice and executes a blade-dance that fires slashes outward for heavy damage. The update also bundles a set of new gear: a transmuted helm, a signature bow called Noonchasa, and a dual-pistol weapon named Aksondol.

Alongside Narin, Warframe adds a six-player squad mission, Glacial Defiance, and a new relay hub called Yuvan Peak. Glacial Defiance tasks squads with locating a glacial spirit and, while not a raid, is described as a high-difficulty cooperative encounter. A new enemy variant, Entropic Eximus, will appear and drop Entropic Kuva. Players can trade Entropic Kuva with Sephalon Melika for new items. The update also brings Citrine Prime on September 23: Citrine, the crystal guardian, will return with enhanced stats and gold trim as Citrine Prime, obtainable immediately from the Market or earned through in-game play and crafting.

Important event timings and account rewards were also announced. An in-game community event called Epoch Operation: Tauro opens on October 15; it’s framed as a time-limited global collaboration where the Warframe community works to build a path to the Tau system, and access to the mini-quest “Prologue to Tau” requires completion of the Hex and The Old Peace quests. A Banshee rework is included in the schedule, and players who log into Warframe between September 23 and October 7 will receive a free Banshee Warframe and Forma rewards. New deluxe cosmetics—such as the Banshee Trenodia and Corvex Basilica collections—and five community-made Tennogen cosmetics will also arrive.

Soulframe’s Prologue 16: “Hook and Hound” (서막 16: 낚싯바늘과 사냥개) is due in mid-September as a free update. The patch introduces a fishing mini-game, a wolf-pup bonding and growth system, and a dynamic weather system. New weapons and cosmetics include a two-handed mace, a caster staff, a rapier as an off-hand weapon, and a witch-themed appearance set. Soulframe’s tempering system sees adjustments as well: weapon disassembly will return tempering materials, letting players recraft legendary weapons.

Platform and partnership notes from the Seoul stream: Warframe will launch on the Samsung Galaxy Store on September 24 with a limited-time login reward window planned for that release. Digital Extremes also revealed a fashion collaboration with ARK/8, releasing a Warframe-themed apparel collection titled Jade Shadows: Constellations. Community Director Megan Everett spoke from the event: “Tenno communities are at the heart of everything we do,” and said the studio plans to continue strengthening trust with players.
