LET IT DIE: INFERNO Season 3 Update Now Live
The Season 3 update for LET IT DIE: INFERNO is officially live and will run until September 7, as announced by publisher GungHo Online Entertainment and developer Supertrick Games. This update introduces a new fortress map, three weapons, two new bodies, switchable Mastery types, and a community-driven Raider donation system.
The highlight of Season 3 is the emergence of Yotsuyama Castle, a fortress that has transformed from an ancient armory into a laboratory fused with mushroom-based biotech. This castle, now composed of fungal mycelium, harbors the Kurohatsu Garrison, which includes formidable foes such as the Yotsuyama General and Heavy Sentry, who are partially controlled by rampant fungal growth. Players can defeat these enemies to obtain the Heavy Sentry's equipment.
Additionally, a new boss named Gomamusha is introduced, created as part of the super-soldier project and entirely dominated by fungal growth. It attacks intruders with instinctive ferocity and possesses a fungal dispersal device that allows for powerful jumps and explosive slashes.
Season 3 expands the arsenal with three new weapons: the Metal Whip, designed for crowd control with a rapid barrage Deathblow; the Plasma Laser, a long-range weapon that increases in power when charged; and the Executioner, a scythe-like weapon capable of chaining multiple follow-up attacks.
Two new bodies are available: Joe, which can be acquired through the new Raiders Fund system, and Inva, who can be obtained by defeating the first boss, Dreamseeker. Three new armor sets are also introduced, each offering unique gameplay benefits, including the Signalcade Armor for stamina recovery, Strong Plated Armor for high stamina recovery performance, and Kurohatsu Armor that enhances Deathblow attack power.
New features include the Raiders Fund, a community-driven donation system that lets players earn personal rewards by contributing Kill Coins, and a Mastery Switch that allows players to toggle between two Mastery types for all previous bodies. Players can also select background music for Iron Perch and exploration, with 11 tracks from DEATHVERSE: LET IT DIE added to Hell Gate.
Why it matters
Lastly, players participating in the Start Dash Event can earn the Raider Medal: 2nd Era charm and a special color for the starting body. LET IT DIE: INFERNO is currently available on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam.
