Honkai: Nexus Anima Begins Closed Beta Test on July 9
HoYoverse has announced that the closed beta test for its upcoming title, Honkai: Nexus Anima, will commence on July 9. This new entry in the Honkai series is designed as a creature-collecting adventure strategy game and will be available on iOS, Android, and PC. Players interested in participating can register online until July 3 for a chance to join the beta.
Honkai: Nexus Anima will introduce a variety of new and returning characters, alongside a creature collection mechanic and tactical battle systems. The game explores thematic pairings such as Light and Dark or Love and Hate, with Anima—collectible creatures like the Umpurrella and Shampoco—scattered throughout the game world. As players collect these creatures, they will gain new powers and expand their battle strategies. Additionally, the game will feature Anima evolution, signaling strengthened bonds between players and their creatures.
Why it matters
Players can also look forward to photo opportunities with their Anima companions outside of combat. To participate in the beta, mobile devices must have a minimum of 15GB of storage and 6GB of RAM, with Android versions starting from 6.0 or iOS from version 15. Notably, progress made during the beta will not transfer to the full game upon release. Returning characters, including Kiana from Honkai Impact 3rd, have already been confirmed, adding to the excitement surrounding the title, especially after the success of Honkai: Star Rail, which has reportedly earned over $2.5 billion on mobile since its launch in 2023.
