Girls’ Frontline: Fire Control to Shut Down August 26, 2026
Sunborn Network has announced the shutdown of Girls’ Frontline: Fire Control, a 3D tactical shooter that blends squad-building strategy with 5v5 combat. The game will terminate operations on August 26, 2026, just six months after its launch and prior to any global release. Players can still engage with the game until the shutdown, claiming 2,000 Free Diamonds every Wednesday and enjoying compensation rewards until the end of service (EOS).
Originally referred to as Project NET, Girls’ Frontline: Fire Control was developed by Hecate Team. The game opened global pre-registration in September 2025 and was released on Android in November 2025 and iOS in January 2026, catering to the Southeast Asian (SEA) market. Despite the promising concept of commanding characters inspired by various firearms in strategic combat, the title faced criticism from players, with some expressing disappointment regarding its gameplay mechanics and overall execution.
Why it matters
The operations team stated via X (Twitter) that the decision to shut down was made after a comprehensive evaluation of their operation plans, apologizing for any inconvenience caused by the termination. Following July 24, 2026, downloads, new account registrations, and in-game purchases will be disabled. Players are encouraged to enjoy the remaining time with the game and await further details on compensation for remaining paid diamonds and related account rights.
