Gameloft's Raúl Orrego to Share Insights at PGC Barcelona

Raúl Orrego, the General Manager of Gameloft Barcelona and executive producer, is set to take the stage at Pocket Gamer Connects Barcelona on June 15th and 16th. This event promises a lineup of distinguished speakers, and Orrego will be among them. Gameloft's Barcelona studio, one of the city’s largest game development teams, has been a staple in the local industry since its establishment in 2000, contributing to popular titles like Asphalt Legends and Disney Speedstorm.

Orrego's talk, titled ‘Time To Resolve,’ will be featured on the Game Dev Stories track. In this session, he will discuss the critical moments that every game developer faces—like launch delays and stagnant metrics—when the pressure is on. Drawing from his three years managing Asphalt Legends, he will introduce 'The Console,' a decision-making framework that integrates insights from economics, engineering, psychology, and biology. This framework is designed to guide developers through quick decisions as well as those that could shape a year’s worth of work, emphasizing the importance of high-quality decision-making under pressure.

Joining Orrego at the conference will be other notable figures from companies such as Rovio, Scopely, FunPlus, and Socialpoint, creating a vibrant atmosphere for discussions. PGC Barcelona returns for its second year, following a successful debut event that gathered over 1,000 professionals from the games industry. The conference will provide a platform for networking, exploring investment opportunities, and learning through a comprehensive program that covers all aspects of mobile, PC, console, AI, and HTML5 gaming.
