Echoes of Aincrad Reveals Combat and Customization in New Trailer
Bandai Namco and Game Studio have unveiled an exciting new trailer for Echoes of Aincrad, showcasing the game’s core gameplay mechanics. Players begin their journey by creating a custom Avatar, with a variety of options for personalization. As they explore the iconic towers of Aincrad, they’ll encounter checkpoints that serve as vital rest spots. Combat in the game requires careful management of HP, Stamina, and SP gauges, alongside the use of consumables to ensure survival.
Players can choose from six distinct weapon types: Swords, Two-Handed Axes, Daggers, Rapiers, Two-Handed Swords, and Maces, providing ample choices for different combat styles. Companions can join players in battle, with quests designed to allow one partner to accompany you, each bringing unique support skills to the fray. Towns act as a central hub for upgrading weapons, purchasing items, and enhancing character stats.
Echoes of Aincrad immerses players in the familiar world of Aincrad, allowing them to experience the story through their custom avatars. As they ascend the castle’s floors, players can develop their combat abilities and select equipment that suits their playstyle. The game emphasizes real-time action combat and character progression, while also encouraging players to forge partnerships with fellow adventurers met during their journey.
In a notable addition, the game will feature a 110-minute promotional anime video titled Unanswered//butterfly, included in the $109.99 USD Ultimate Edition. This anime will present a narrative separate from the main game, and a preview has already been released on YouTube. Another significant highlight is the Death Game Mode, which becomes accessible after clearing the main story or by purchasing the $89.99 Deluxe Edition for an early unlock. In this mode, dying results in the permanent deletion of your character.
