Clash Royale June 2026 Update Unveils Hero Tombstone and New Gameplay Modes

The Clash Royale June 2026 update is officially here, and it’s packed with exciting new content that’s bound to shake up the arena. Leading the charge is the Hero Tombstone, a unique building-based hero card that, upon activation of its Regal Revival ability, sacrifices itself to summon the formidable Tomb Queen. This new hero targets buildings and spawns Skeletons continuously, ensuring that even in defeat, she leaves a trail of chaos behind her.

In addition to the Hero Tombstone, players can now evolve the Princess card, transforming her into a frosty powerhouse. The Evolved Princess launches icy arrows with her initial shot and every third shot thereafter, slowing down nearby enemies while dealing damage. Upon her defeat, she still has a trick up her sleeve—creating a frost zone that damages and slows any enemy troops caught within it.

The new Princess Gambit mode is a real game-changer, allowing players to jump into fast-paced matches without the hassle of deck-building. In this limited-time mode, which lasts three minutes, players draw randomly from a pool of 40 cards, and the arena structure is altered to feature only two Princess Towers. Destroying just one tower secures an instant victory, and each match showcases potential Evolutions or Heroes right from the start.

Further enhancing the gameplay experience is the introduction of the Victory Run mode, designed to reward players for win streaks. Players can earn rewards as they progress, with losses deducting lives until they reach checkpoints that refill lives and secure progress. If players run out of lives before hitting the next checkpoint, they can either reset or spend Gems to continue.

The update also marks the return of the Seasonal Trophy Road, with significant changes. Players will now calculate their Collection Level by adding up the levels of all their cards, factoring in bonuses from Evolutions and Heroes. Seasonal Arena I will allow players to climb using their main deck for rewards, while Seasonal Arena II imposes deck restrictions by banning the top eight cards that players won with in Arena I, compelling them to rethink their strategies.

Why it matters

In terms of quality-of-life improvements, Catch-Up Rewards are being rolled out for inactive players, and the Pass Royale system is getting enhancements, including tier skipping through Gems. Additionally, a Mini Pass system is being tested, offering short-duration rewards tracks lasting around 5 to 7 days. Finally, players can look forward to the return of Global Tournament leaderboard spectating, along with various UI and banner customization upgrades.
