Blasphemous II Update 'The Third Sin' Now Live
Team17 and The Game Kitchen have released a free update for Blasphemous II titled "The Third Sin," now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Switch, and PC, with a PlayStation 4 release planned for a later date. This expansion introduces players to a vast gothic castle, a quarter the size of the combined Blasphemous II and "Mea Culpa" world maps. Once a refuge for nobles, this part of Cvstodia was devastated by The Miracle, and players must navigate its twisting halls, towering structures, expansive library, and dark crypts.
"The Third Sin" offers a unique gameplay experience with the addition of three Familiars, magical entities that assist The Penitent One in combat and exploration. A new blade-tipped whip weapon enhances the combat mechanics with a range of standard and special attacks, allowing players to dispatch foes with ease. The update also brings new prayers, unlockable outfits, and five new achievements or trophies for dedicated players.
Why it matters
To enrich the atmosphere, six new music tracks composed by Carlos Viola have been added, deepening the immersion within the castle’s unsettling environment. Blasphemous II remains available on multiple platforms, including Steam, inviting players to experience this latest chapter in the series.
