Dave the Diver hits 10M sales, mobile release set for Sept 17

Key takeaways

  • 10,000,000 cumulative sales for Dave the Diver
  • Mobile global release on Apple App Store and Google Play on Sept 17, 2025
  • New DLC “Dave the Diver 一番の休日 Content Pack” released April 10, 2025
  • Steam: over 140,000 user reviews; “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating

Dave the Diver, developed by MINTROCKET, has surpassed 10 million copies sold and will launch on mobile worldwide via Apple App Store and Google Play on September 17. The game originally released in June 2023 and today (April 10, 2025) received a new DLC titled “Dave the Diver 一番の休日 Content Pack.”

The title mixes 2D character art with 3D environments, pairs diving and sushi-bar management, and includes harpoon-based fishing action. On Steam it has collected over 140,000 user reviews and holds an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating. MINTROCKET has also run crossovers with other fishing-themed and Japanese properties, including DREDGE, Godzilla, and Yakuza.

The April 10 DLC is a tie-in with Ryū ga Gotoku (Yakuza) and adds content not present in the base game, such as a karaoke rhythm minigame and other new features. That collaboration brings a fresh gameplay strand alongside the existing story-driven characters and action sequences.

Why it matters

If you’ve been curious but haven’t played yet, the September 17 mobile release will let you try Dave the Diver on phones, and the new DLC introduces karaoke-style rhythm gameplay that wasn’t in the original PC release.
